I won this amazing book from Lissa at Moda Lissa.  It has wonderful, easy quilt projects with simple designs.  They are eye-catching and bright.  I am so excited to start some of these projects!

Moving

I a couple of weeks I will be closing down this blog and moving completely over to my new one.  I have begun a new blog called fabric-ating.  I have posted all my previous posts from this blog over there and will be blogging in both places for the time being.

But....I would love for anyone who is interested in following me, to hop on over to fabric-ating and follow me there.  Anyone who decides to follow me at fabric-ating (current or new followers of either blog) will be in a drawing just before I close this blog.  And.....I will be part of a blog hop in August.

Happy Quilting,

Laura ;)

Loving the Zakka!

The Zakka Style Sew-Along has been so much fun. I love that the projects are modern and easy. This week's projectvwent to my daughter as part of her gift for graduating from college. Instead of a pencil case, she will use it as a glasses case. This is how this week's project turned out...

And I made a matching camera case for the new digital camera we gave her. Love it, too.

Week Four of the Zakka Style Sew Along

This sew along has been so much fun.  Cute little easy-to-do projects.  This week's project is an adorable little sewing kit.  Here is mine.

All it needs is a few supplies and it is good to go!

Zakka Sew Along - 2

I had fun with this project, too.  The little house pouch was so simple and fun to be creative with.  Here is what I made:

And the entire project was made with scraps.  The body was from my grandmother's stash.  Even the zipper was recycled.  I was a zipper that I got from my grandmother's stash.
