I came across the Ironing Board Challenge and decided that my ironing board needed a new cover. The old one was too thin and getting worn. So I made a new one. It is bright and cheery and much thicker and sturdier.
Here's the OLD.....
and Here's the NEW!!!
LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!!

I just made a new cover for my ironing board this week too - but it's no where near this nice. Instead of a regular ironing board I use a banquet table raised up some by pvc pipes my husband cut to size. He also "trimmed" an old hollow core door so that lays on top of the table. I put batting on top, wrapped muslin around and stapled it to the board. Now I periodically take a length of fabric wrap it around the whole thing and pin it in place to the muslin. When it's dirty, scorched, or otherwise uglied enough I take it off for washing or tossing, and put a fresh piece of fabric on. I have a much larger space for ironing fabric and it stays up all the time. I love it! blessings, marlene
