Postage Stamp Quilt Along in Progress

I have sew together all my strips for the Postage Stamp Quilt Along.  I love the fabrics I am using and can't wait to see it all come together.  I am using Prayer Flag by Moda with off-white for the background.  Here is my progress so far.

Layer Cake Quilt-Along

Well, I have a lot of things on my list of things to do, so I decided to get a jump on the LCQA block due next week.  I really like how it turned out.  I am really enjoying this quilt-along.  Here it is....

LCQA Block 5

Well, I procrastinated, but I got it done.  I finished Block 5 of the Layer Cake Quilt-Along last night.  I thought it was a fun block to make, but I just don't have the differentiation in my fabrics that others do.  I guess it is because the graphics are so large.  I love the fabric and the patterns, but I have learned that choosing fabric makes a huge difference, depending on the pattern you will be using.  With a quilt-along you don't have the luxury of knowing how large or small the cut pieces will be, so it is just hit-or-miss, i guess.  Overall, I am pleased with how the blocks have turned out so far.

And the quilt-along has been a lot of fun!!
